The Zurich Institute for Handwriting Sciences (IHS) has launched a new international research project in cooperation with the National Bureau of Expertise of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.
The project, entitled “Psychological Reconstruction of the Pre-Death State of Suicidal Individuals Based on Handwriting Characteristics,” aims to investigate the potential of handwriting analysis as a source of behavioral and psychological indicators relevant to the reconstruction of mental states preceding suicide. The study integrates forensic handwriting examination, psychological assessment, and interdisciplinary methodological approaches. Its objective is to develop a structured analytical framework for identifying handwriting features that may reflect acute psychological distress and pre-suicidal cognitive-emotional conditions.
This collaboration marks an important step in strengthening international scientific exchange and advancing research at the intersection of forensic science and psychology.
